Do you believe in soulmates? Why or why not?

I wish I could believe in soulmates, but I think I might be too unromantic or pessimistic for that. I don’t think we are meant to be partnered with a specific person as many of us do not have a soulmate, or viable partner to grow and develop over time with. Maybe it is partially true? Maybe some people have soulmates while some of us try to have them and still end up solo. I have met people with whom I share a very close spiritual connection, but nothing as romantic or specific as a soulmate. And now that I’m older and wiser, I’m ok with that.
