Morning Behaviours & Thoughts

Breakfast

This morning, I woke up and was so happy that my TMJ pain and headache seemed much improved. I’ve had really bad headaches for the past two days; I don’t normally get the headaches-just the jaw pain. Totally got off track with weekly goals. However, I did have some time to reflect and think about spiritual things that have been bubbling up within me. Resting gave me time to work through some difficulties I’ve had in my spiritual life as a Catholic. I would write more about that, but I wrote about it to a friend and am still processing that experience.

Upon waking, I took my morning meds, fasted an hour, had a Dazbog coffee. Later, I was craving a giant coke and a biscuit. Realised this craving is going to throw off my weight loss goals so I got busy and distracted myself. Took out the garbage, fed the fish, took Gumbo out and fed him. Then, I made breakfast. Yeah. No one wakes up and craves what I just drank. Let me see if I can put a picture here:

Delightful looking, huh? It is a concoction (as my kids call stuff I come up with) of unflavoured soy milk, a tablespoon of milled flax seeds, 4 giant frozen cherries and 2 scoops of Garden of Life Organic Protein + Greens. Total protein is about 56 grams. I’ve been consuming mostly carbs lately so stepping up the protein.

To keep up with the rest of the supplements I’ve started recently, I put 4 cups of water in my Hydro Flask cup and mixed in 6 grams of creatine (supposed to be 5 but I didn’t care about the 1 gram extra) and 3 grams of HMB which is supposed to help prevent muscle loss. Mixed into that was a scoop of electrolytes. So, I’ll be sipping on the water solution for a while after the filling shake.

Today

Today, I’m getting back on track. Will work on book research and will get some kind of exercise in today.

Getting Started

Well, I think I will get started with my day. Grateful to be feeling better, and looking forward to the weekend. Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
