Finding Optimism

Gently Getting Back on Track

Today, I’m gently getting back on track. The last week has been challenging for me, and while I don’t want to go into very many details, I will say that I have been struggling. This also means I haven’t worked out in a week. Instead of being disappointed, I’m grateful I’m recovering and gently returning to my regular schedule in time for the holidays.

Reframing Progress

While I did not meet my goals this week, I did learn some life lessons. Goals are good to have, but sometimes we fall short. And in falling short, we can also learn resilience and how to reframe progress. Progress isn’t always measurable. Sometimes it is a change in attitude or a feeling of hope instead of depression and despair.

Optimism

If you are going through a challenging time this holiday season, I pray that you find your moments of growth and a sense of progress that leads to moments of gratitude and optimism.

Thank you for reading.
